GETTING STARTED
First time users
The InFocus Technology Upgrade Program offers cash value for your pre-owned product(s), making your new InFocus purchase even more affordable. Your InFocus purchase must be a Projector.
The new InFocus Technology Upgrade Program offers you:
Convenience: fast and easy one stop solution to get cash for your pre-owned technology to apply to the purchase of new technology.
Return on your investment: reduces the cost of new InFocus technology by helping you realize value from your pre-owned equipment.
Environmentally Friendly: It helps you properly dispose of pre-owned products when you are participating in the InFocus Technology Upgrade Program.
It’s easy! Follow these simple steps:
Step 1 – Register or select Get a Free Quote to receive your free trade-in quote.
Step 2 - Describe your pre-owned product(s): manufacturer, model, and quantity.
Step 3 – Receive an instant quote value for your pre-owned product(s). If your pre-owned product(s) do not have a trade-in value, you can receive a quote for the recycling fee.
Step 4 - Fax your Confirmation email and your proof of purchase receipt for your new InFocus Projector to 770-925-9064 or mail to:

If the serial number is not included on the purchase invoice you must write the serial number on the invoice prior to submission.
Step 5 – Ship your pre-owned product(s) using the prepaid shipping label provided.
Your redemption check will be issued approximately 45 days after the receipt and inspection of your traded product along with the receipt of your proof of purchase.
Confirmation message
You can expect to receive a Confirmation email following your product trade-in/recycle. We recommend that you keep a copy for your records. This message will confirm the item(s) you are trading/recycling, the redemption value, and a quote number. To receive your redemption check, print this email, and fax it to 770-925-9064 along with your proof of purchase. Shipping labels will be emailed to you within one business day.

Combining items in a trade
The InFocus Technology Upgrade Program does not require a 1 for 1 ratio. You may trade in multiple product(s), but you must purchase at least one new InFocus Projector.

Shipping
Shipping Methods
It is important to use our shipping label or shipping placard, as it will be used to expedite tracking, identification and processing.
After you have accepted the InFocus Technology Upgrade Program terms and conditions, you will be presented a "shipping instructions" page. This page will provide the instructions you will need to follow in order to return your traded-in product. Within one business day of completing your trade, an email with the subject line InFocus Technology Upgrade Program shipping instructions" will be emailed to the address you provided while registering. The InFocus Technology Upgrade Program shipping instructions email' will provide the steps for retrieving your shipping label or shipping placard. The InFocus Technology Upgrade Program shipping instructions email' will contain embedded links, simply click on the link and your prepaid, pre-addressed shipping label or shipping placard will appear. A Microsoft window will direct you on how to print out your label or placard. Print two copies, and attach one to the shipment of your trade-in product and retain the second copy for tracking purposes. If you are trading multiple items, a link for each item will appear in the email.
You have 30 days from the day you completed your on-line trade to return the product. The trade-in product must be shipped by the expiration date listed in the “Reference field” noted on the label.

Lost shipping label
If you have lost your prepaid shipping label or shipping placard, simply refer to your shipping instructions email and click on the link to print out another label or placard. If you are experiencing difficulty printing your label contact: infocuscustomerservice@marketvelocity.com with the following information for a replacement.

If more than 14 days has passed since you confirmed your trade, InFocus reserves the right to re-price your transaction quote.

Packing guidelines
Please follow these guidelines when shipping your traded product:
- Wrap the item(s) using plenty of bubble-wrap, or other appropriate packing supplies around fragile item(s). Include all components of the product for return.
- Package the item(s) in a sturdy cardboard box designed specifically for shipping. (See “Packaging”) Shipping tape that is 2-3 inches wide should be used.
- Tape all edges on the sides, top, and bottom to make sure there are no rough edges that could be snagged by automated mail processing equipment. We do not recommend using masking or cellophane tape.
- Attach the prepaid shipping label to the outside of the package. Use a piece of clear shipping tape over the top of the label.
- Call your local carrier at 1-888-777-7330 or drop off the package at a regional shipping location. A store locator list is available by clicking here. Be sure to keep the tracking number for proof of shipment.
- Products must be shipped within 30 days of the transaction in order for quoted value to remain valid.
- When packaging your product, be sure to include applicable installation or system software on CD or diskette, the certificate of authenticity, applicable end user license agreements, and manuals.
- Please ensure that you include any documentation and accessories that were originally shipped with your product. These items could include warranty cards, keyboard, mouse, and connection cables. Failure to include these items will impact the value of your trade. If you do not have these items, please contact infocuscustomerservice@marketvelocity.com for further assistance.

Tracking
You can find real time status of any package shipped via Federal Express by going to www.fedex.com and entering the tracking number provided on your shipping label.
Payments and Pricing
Typographical errors
In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect trade value due to a typographical error or miscalculation by the database, InFocus Technology Upgrade Program shall have the right to refuse or cancel the transaction within seven calendar days after the date of the actual trade (see Terms and Conditions).

Check delivery
All checks are mailed via the U.S. Postal Service to the address designated in your transaction.Checks will be mailed approximately 45 days after the receipt and inspection of your traded product along with the receipt of your proof of purchase, if applicable, whichever is later.

Trade-In Products
All products we receive for trade-in are refurbished and resold.

Recycled Products
All products we receive for recycle are disposed of under applicable Environmental Protection Agency guidelines. You will be charged for recycling and shipping and handling fees via credit card. If other payment options are required, please contact infocuscustomerservice@marketvelocity.com.
Determining Product Condition
How do I determine the condition of my product?

Is the product in excellent working condition and needs no refurbishment? The projector bulb works and has 75% or greater lamp life remaining. Has regular maintenance has been performed on the product in accordance with manufacturer recommendations?
Is the body of the product clean (i.e., no smudges, ink marks, dents, stickers, or scratches? |
If so, choose Excellent. |

Is the product free from technical problems? (i.e., it does not make noise or run slowly, is not missing pieces, does not have excessively worn parts, etc.) The projector bulb works and has 50% or greater lamp life remaining.
Does the body of the product have only minor blemishes? (i.e., smudges, ink marks, dents, stickers, or scratches). |
If so, choose Good. |

The product has no major technical problems, or has a lamp with a less than 50% lamp life remaining; it turns on and is in working condition but has cosmetic defects.

If so, choose Poor. |
Product Conditions for Printing Devices:
Excellent -- the printer is in excellent working condition and needs no refurbishment. The printer has been maintained within manufacturer’s suggested schedules, feeds paper properly, and has excellent print quality. The case of the printer and trays are clean (i.e., no smudges, ink marks, dents, stickers, or scratches) and are intact (i.e., no cracks, broken or missing pieces).
Good -- the printer is in good working condition and needs only minor parts (rollers or separation pads) for refurbishment. The printer has been maintained within manufacturer’s suggested schedules. The printer has no technical problems (i.e., paper feeds properly from primary trays and does not jam, has no unusual noises, has excellent print quality, and has properly functioning control panel). The case and trays of the printer have only minor blemishes (i.e., smudges, ink marks, dents, stickers, or scratches). The case of the printer and trays are intact (i.e., no cracks, broken or missing pieces).
Poor -- the printer has no major technical problems. The printer powers on, is in working condition, and can produce a test page. The printer has minor cosmetic defects and may have one or two cracked, broken or missing pieces that do not affect performance.
Not eligible for trade, eligible for recycle -- the printer has major technical problems (will not produce a test page, and/or will not power on, and/or will not feed paper through machine, and/or has a malfunctioning control panel). The case of the printer has large cracks, is missing most of the original trays, and/or has broken or missing pieces).

Canceling a trade
In the event you wish to cancel your trade, simply send an email that includes your name and quote number to infocuscustomerservice@marketvelocity.com requesting that your trade be canceled. Market Velocity, Inc. will send you an email confirming the cancellation. You may be asked, but not required, to provide a reason as to why you opted to cancel the trade.
Reminder Emails
During the trade/recycle process you will receive a series of emails. These will include, but are not limited to, a confirmation, shipping instructions, shipping reminders, proof-of-purchase reminder, product received, and check mailed emails.
